Story Boarding and Gleamingness
Last weekend, I bought a big posterboard. You know, the ones that open up for science fair projects? Ooooohhh yeah, baby! I got one of THOSE! It's black and its foam and I have BRIGHT note cards and sticky notes to go with it.
LOL!
I love story-boarding.
Starting off, I hated it. I didn't get it. I didn't like it. It just didn't work.
But NOW that I get it, I'm pretty good! I have one that's still in play for Golem, because I put that book on the back burner until I get some editor comments on at least Demons (what if she wants to change something that will affect Angels AND Golem? That could be a problem?)
But I am ITCHING to really WRITE Tempest. I've gone through and started doing some revisions based off of some comments from my Epic Critiquers (Loooooooove you!!), but now I'm getting to some points where I really need my story board.
*eyes gleaming, rubbing hands*
Yes, yes, yes.
My first one, I did everything with sticky notes and I ended up taking multiple notes and sticking them all together *grimace* and that did not work out so well. So this time, I have some larger note cards that I can write full ideas on. *nods* and then the sticky notes can go all around those.
And this time, I might use pictures - just because I think it would be soooo NEAT and cool and fun! I don't get a lot of time for fun anymore. I think I just might sit back and have a frelling blast with it!
*tehehehehe* I'm so very, very excited.
Now, if only I could get a weekend DAY (full day, not partial day because laundry and housekeeping take up that other half day) or at the very least a few full EVENINGS, I could sit down in front of my board and story-board like a mad woman.

I miss critiquing your books. I need to get my butt back on the forum so I can READ YOUR WORK AGAIN. *huggles* I MISS YOU. <3<3<3
ReplyDeleteI miss you too. My books are no longer in the workshop because I'm never in there myself. I decided that if I didn't have time to get in there, there was no sense in forking over the money to pay for the membership. *siiiiigh* I miss the forum!
ReplyDeleteHowever! If you decide you have time, I can email you what I'm working on. Right now, there's not much, but there ARE some pretty major changes to Tempest that I'm excited about!
Cool. Occasionally I draw my characters so I can make something solid out of the vision in my head. It's great.

Well, it's been a really long time since I drew anything except creepy dancing flowers with strange faces. *scared look* I may have to figure out how to share that lovely experience with you. LOL!
ReplyDeleteBut I think it'll be fun!
Frankie. I ALWAYS have time for you, sweetie!!! SEND IT. =D
