Flash forward. Your book is published and has a large fan base. It's so good that a big Hollywood studio has bought the movie rights. The script is in the can. (That's what it's called, right? LOL) A huge director, maybe Spielberg, is lined up. It's casting time.

I'd want Richard Donner to direct the movie adaptation of the Children of Midian. This is he of Goonies fame. Or maybe Robert Rodriguez from all the Spy Kids movies.

Lycaon - Jeromy Irons. Totally Jeremy Irons.

Mara - Abigail Breslin.

Jeremy Irons makes a fantastic bad guy. Almost as good as Alan Rickman :-)

I've done a few minor changes to my cast (along with a few things I think Frankie might kill me for...but I'm not sharing yet.) so...this is what I've got so far:

This is sad! I don't know actors' names, so I can't GOOGLE them? Amazing, right? You've gotta know their name, or the name of the movie or whatever that you saw them in...That's just freaky. GAH!

It's too funny. I started up this post, and then I'm like, wait... I forgot every actor's name! And so many child actors I like are too old for the Midian roles. Ah, well.

ReplyDeleteI have tried to think of actors who remind me of the characters, but I really can't think of any. Maybe I would have to have every character played by an unknown. :) The one exception is Adrian Brody....he might make it in as Peytra ;)
Robert Pattinson? (LOL @ RPatz, that's great) But seriously, him? His face freaks me out a bit.
ReplyDeleteI just have one- My MC, Hester, would be played by Ellen Page, but she would have to dye her hair strawberry red and mat it up into dreads. Think she'd be game?
Oh I love Ellen Page. She's an awesome actress! I think if the MS was cool/quirky enough, she'd be up for it! ;)
